CeBIT 2006 - Metro RFID

They are showing RFID technologies, like you would have chips in all the products in your fridge, and it would automatically generate a shopping list for you with missing product, then when you identify yourself at the supermarket with a special shopping cart, it tells you where to go in the store to pick up the product, and as soon as you throw a product in the shopping cart it adds it to your screen, and to checkout you could just walk out of the store and pay with your account automatically.

Interesting thing that this "salesman" says, the RFID chips of the future will be printed and be all plastic... Az
