Air trends 'amplifying' warming

By Richard Black
Environment Correspondent, BBC News website, in Vienna

Reduced air pollution and increased water evaporation appear to be adding to man-made global warming.

Research presented at a major European science meeting adds to other evidence that cleaner air is letting more solar energy through to the Earth's surface.

Other studies show that increased water vapor in the atmosphere is reinforcing the impact of man-made greenhouse gas emissions.

Scientists suggest both trends may push temperatures higher than believed.

But they say there is an urgent need for further research, particularly at sea.

Trade can 'export' CO2 emissions
By Richard Black
Environment Correspondent, BBC News website
New research from the US shows that trade can significantly affect emissions of greenhouse gases.

Researchers found that US imports of goods from China cause a greater production of carbon dioxide than if the goods were made in the US

"A country can intentionally or unintentionally decrease its CO2 emissions by reducing its domestic production but increasing its trade.

"Total CO2 emissions would increase, but the current carbon accounting framework will show a decrease." full story at:

Let me get this right... NOW global warming is caused by clean air and more water in the air... LOL ... The BBC News.... Is everyone F#@&ing stoned .. CLEAN AIR AND WATER VAPOR !!! The two best things for every living thing on this planet... Plant and animal....

hummm... Plants take in CO2 and release oxygen... But there is not a lower amount of plants in the world ? Is there? Along with creating more CO2...

Not that it would solve all problems but how about this... every tank of gas every one has to plant 1 tree... or burn the equivalent of coal, oil, etc...

The globalization is making it worse... So by saving 10 cents on my shampoo at walmart increases the CO2 emissions in the world while gas costs twice as much...

sorry im to busy to rant anymore... and I could spend hours on this stuff... but you are spared ... For now...- Az
